Auckland Storm are National Champions again!
Congratulations Auckland Storm - winners of the 2011 Women's NPC. They were completely dominant in their final this afternoon, putting away the Wellington Pride 34-8.
The Auckland Storm have yet again cemented their position as best in the business, defending their Women’s NPC crown, collecting the unions 13th Women’s championship.
Auckland Storm team to play in the NPC Final
The Auckland Storm team to play the Wellington Pride in the Women’s NPC final has been named.
The final will be played at Waikato Stadium on Saturday (5.05pm) and is the curtain raiser to the ITM Cup Final between Waikato and Wellington. It will be broadcast live on Sky.
The Auckland Storm team named for final round robin game
The Storm will play their third game in seven days when they face the Otago Spirit in Dunedin tomorrow.
Despite having already booked a place in the final coach Davida White has named a strong 22 for the game.

The Auckland Storm travel to Napier today to take on the Hawkes Bay Tui's just days after defeating Canterbury.

Former Black Ferns and Auckland Storm star Davida White is relishing the opportunity of returning to the helm as the Auckland Storm head coach in 2009. The head coach of the Storm from 2002 to 2004, Davida won the NPC in all three seasons, and after a stint coaching the Tangaroa College First XV boys’ team where she is also the Deputy Principal, she said couldn’t wait to return to the fold this year.
