This year Auckland Rugby are celebrating 100 Years of the Gallaher Shield. A shield named in honour of Dave Gallaher, Captain of the Original 1905 All Blacks, Auckland Rugby legend, and one of many who served with the New Zealand Contingent in the First World War.

TVNZ 1 were out in the Auckland Rugby community last week to find out what the Gallaher Shield means to our clubs and to celebrate 100 years of our premier men's competition.
