The Auckland Club Rugby community can begin planning for their 2024 Gallaher Shield campaigns. Set to kick off on April 6^th, the 102^nd season of fixtures promise a showcase of grassroots rugby talent, with defending champions Manukau Rovers aiming to secure their third title in a row amidst stiff competition. 2024 includes a debut season for Puketapapa's Men's Premier team, adding a historic touch to this year's competition.

The 2024 season also introduces an improved finals format, set to commence on July 20th, with the Grand Final scheduled for August 3rd. The new finals format introduces a top 6 structure, where the first and second seed teams secure automatic qualification for the semi-finals. Meanwhile, quarterfinals will see matchups between the 3rd vs. 6th and 4th vs. 5th seed, adding an extra layer of competition and unpredictability to the playoff stage.
