Auckland Rugby is set to launch a series of Best Practice coaching sessions next month.
Auckland Rugby Coach Development Manager Shane King said these sessions are a chance for senior club and secondary school coaches to improve their knowledge and learn from the best in the Union.
“Coaches can often find some of the core skills difficult, this this is a great opportunity to expand knowledge in key areas of the game like scrum, line out, break down and back play,” said King.
The first session will see Auckland Mitre 10 Cup coach Nick White focus on line outs.
White will put together a lineout from scratch, looking at all the functional roles in the lineout and delivering coaching detail specific to Mitre 10 Cup level players. Coaches will observe the session then engage in a Q&A session with White post training.
The first Best practice session will be held at Nixon Park on Monday 1st May (6.30-7.30pm). For further details or any queries, please contact Shane King shane.king@aucklandrugby.co.nz ph. 027 2890112
The next session will be led Auckland Mitre 10 Cup scrum coach Geoff Moon.
