This week’s unsung hero is East Tamaki’s Pat Taka.
Taka has been involved with the club for more than 35 years and along with her wider family have had an unrivaled contribution to the organisation.
“We have many heroes but Pat is ours and we enjoy having her at the club with everything she does and hope it will continue for many more years to come,” said club Chairman Steve Martin.
When the premiers are at home, Taka can usually be found in the kitchen preparing the after match meal and Martin said she is never without a smile on her face.
“Pat is continuing her family legacy at East Tamaki and is well respected by her peers and well known to all of our families at the club,” said Martin.
Taka has been most active in junior rugby administration in recent years but her contribution is far reaching.
