We are excited to announce, Craig McGrath will be joining Auckland Rugby Mitre 10 Cup Coaching group this season.

Craig is a born and bred, passionate Aucklander who represented both Auckland Rugby at NPC (now Mitre 10 Cup), the Blues in Super Rugby and was also a Maori All Black. Craig then moved to the Rugby Viadana Club in Italy where he played for two seasons.

Craig is also a centurion of the Waitemata Rugby Club, who then transitioned in to coaching with Waitemata and then overseas. Recently he has crafted his coaching skills experience with the Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby and the Melbourne Rising in the Australian National Rugby Competition. Craig is currently coaching at Honda in Japan and brings valuable experience to our coaching group.

Craig’s predominant responsibilities will be focused on defence and skill development
