New Zealand Rugby has confirmed the draw for the 2020 Farah Palmer Cup. The competition will kick off in five weeks’ time on the 22nd of August.
The upcoming season has taken the format of a North Island and South Island pools during round robin, with the top two from each island meeting in the semi-finals before a final at the home of the top qualifier.
The Auckland Storm fell agonisingly short in the 2019 season, losing the final to a strong Canterbury side. This year the side will be preparing to go one better than their 2019 efforts and break Canterbury's three consecutive titles.
The Auckland Storm will be on the menu for three succulent double headers in the 2020 season.
The first home game will see the Auckland side opening the double header against Waikato before the North V South game at Eden Park on the 29th of August.
The Strom’s second home against Counties Manukau will also be the start of a Farah Palmer Cup & Mitre 10 Cup Auckland double header as our men take on Wellington in their first home game of the season on the 20th of September.
