Our graduates have gone on to succeed in all sorts of roles including: 

  • Professional rugby players for the All Blacks, Black Ferns, The Blues and others
  • Pasifika Student Recruitment Advisor
  • Early childhood, primary and secondary school teachers
  • And many more 

Some also have gone on to further study in areas such as architecture, construction, communication and sports & recreation.

OUR VISION
To provide opportunities and experiences for learning where all learners are equipped with the necessary academic qualifications, life skills, and personal skills to either advance into long-term, sustainable employment or pursue further tertiary study.

Key Information

Students who graduate will achieve the following three qualifications:

  • NZ Certificate in Sport, Exercise, and Leisure Operations (Level 3)
  • NZ Certificate in Sport Officiating (Level 3)
  • NZ Certificate in Sport Coaching (Level 3)

The Pro Sport programme aims to meet learners' needs by providing:

  • The opportunity to achieve three recognised qualifications.
  • Opportunities to develop transferable life and employment skills through working with/coaching primary and intermediate school students and working for Auckland Rugby in event management.
  • An embedded literacy and numeracy programme, with individual learning plans where necessary, to build confidence and competence in these areas and enhance learners' opportunities for success in the workplace or further study.
  • Pathways to further tertiary study or employment.
  • A nutrition and healthy eating practical programme to support general health and sport-related training programmes and performance.
  • Individualised personal training and strength and conditioning programmes administered by Auckland Rugby High Performance trainers.

Additional Benefits Include:

  • ATHOP card provided by Auckland Rugby Union
  • Uniform provided by Auckland Rugby Union
  • Access to the Auckland Rugby Union High Performance Gym and Strength & Conditioning trainers
  • Exclusive access to restricted areas on match days (field, changing rooms, coach's box, and players’ tunnel)
